This function serves to find all works published in PubMed, Web of Science (WoS) and or SCOPUS (these are exclusively journal articles), which are not yet shown in meDme, so that they can be transferred to the application at the touch of a button.

Action:
1. Define the desired filters and their search values ​​in the Filter bar.


Note: If the author is part of an Author Group, the publication will not be found with the author as a search criteria. In this case the search by title is recommended.


2. In the green Search-Pulldown-Field select the remote system to be searched. If the search does not start automatically, click on the magnifying glass icon.


Note: The simultaneous search of all databases can take a long time. For this reason, it is recommended to search PubMed first. Publications already entered in meDme will be excluded from the search.

3. Each Search Result will be shown in a new register, which will show the name of the searched system („Import from PubMed“, „Import from WoS“, etc.).
If no publications are found, you may need to adjust the filters and/or search values before choosing to manually entering the publication.

4. All publications found are listed as ready for import.


5. Please check the Author Name before importing and import only your own publications.

6. Start the import by clicking on the command button [Import Publication].

7. The Status gives information about whether the publication was successfully imported or if an error has occurred.


8. It may happen that the Author Position is not recognised automatically, and therefore has to be determined manually. Detailed instructions can be found in the Manual Entry section.
