Important:
Manual entry is only intended for publications that are not available in PubMed, Web of Science (WoS) und/oder SCOPUS and cannot be automatically imported.  

Action:
1. Enter the complete Title of your work and click on [Create].

2.  The window New Publication – 01 Title opens and the program checks for publications in meDme with the same title. Confirm the entry of your entered/chosen title by clicking [NEXT >] (bottom right).

Important:
If the publication has already been entered and appears in Matching Publications please take this entry to avoid duplicates.

3. In step 02 Type & Role choose the PublicationType and the Role that your publication should be linked to. If the publication type is not shown in the pulldown-field, you can activate the Show All option to show the complete list of publication types.

If you have multiple Person Roles in meDme, you can choose which person role the publication should be linked to. Activate the  Show All option and choose the correct Role from the pulldown-field. Confirm your entry by clicking [NEXT >] (bottom right).

4. In step 03 Category you assign your publication to the correct category by activating the corresponding checkbox on the right. Confirm your entry by clicking [NEXT >] (bottom right).

5. In the last step 04 Attribute please fill out at a minimum the fields with a red asterisk *. The attributes depend on the selected publication type.

Attention:
The entry in the field Authors/Research Group must be:

a) for all authors concerned
b) in the published order and
c) in the mandatory format „Last name, First name;“ Otherwise the name cannot be recognised and - if present in meDme - cannot assigned.

Wrong entries can be removed by clicking on the cross symbol.

6. To confirm the manual entry click [SAVE PUBLICATION(bottom right).

If needed, you can switch back and forth between the individual steps by clicking the [< PREVIOUS] and [NEXT>] on the bottom right corner. Alternatively, you can click on the title to switch to another tab.
